Fabric Features
At Shady Places, we can make sails using commercial or domestic heavy shade cloth, which provides up to 99% UV protection. A 50mm webbing is sewn around the perimeter of all of our sails, using heavy duty, rot proof nylon thread, with stainless steel triangles fitted into each corner.

Polyfab Comshade 90
Comshade 90 is a unique and innovative commercial shade cloth that is designed for architectural sails and commercial shade structures.
It has a number of design features, including:
- Extra heavy coverage factor 87 – 93%
- Manufactured on quality German knitting machines
- The fabric is covered by a U.V Breakdown warranty
- Nine contemporary colours

Rainbow Shade
Rainbow Shade fabric is lightweight, long lasting, strong and ‘Quality Assured’ as a premier shade cloth. It provides:
- Up to 99% UV – B Block
- Up to 97% Shade
- This fabric has stood the test of time, with not one case of UV breakdown and a solid 10-year warranty
- This fabric is tested to Australian Standard AS 4174 -1994
